The Freeport Fall Senior Expo is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport. Are you ready to hear some great speakers, get a free flu shot, have an antique appraised and gather lots of senior-related information? We have a very informative and fun day planned at the Freeport Fall Senior Expo! Ample parking, free admission and no registration!

Freeport Fall senior expoThe Freeport Fall Senior Expo will feature representatives from senior communities, home health companies, estate management, rehabilitation and many more will showcase their services and be available for questions all day. Open enrollment for Medicare begins November 1, and you’ll find several companies offering information on Medicare plans. Thinking about finding in-home care? Want to see new devices that help folks with hearing loss? Concerned about how you’ll be remembered and what sort of legacy you’ll leave?  There will be lots of information available at the Freeport Fall Senior Expo. On October 7, you’ll be able to visit and talk with 36 vendors from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

What’s Happening at the Freeport Fall Senior Expo:

  • CHANS will offer free flu shots from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Speakers will be talking in the Speaker’s Gallery right outside the expo hall. Talks start at 10 a.m., and include new joint options, how to make sure your estate is organized, developing an Alzheimer-friendly business, and dealing with incontinence. (See the complete speaker’s list elsewhere.)
  • Afternoon demo of Zumba Gold with certified instructor Shari Chaney and friends
  • For a $5 donation, you can get an antique appraised by Stan Lourie (benefits the Alzheimers Association).
