PACES (Portland Area Coalition of Elder Services) is a group of professional service providers in the Portland, Maine area dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and their families. The PACES members represent a wide variety of companies that seniors utilize in the greater Portland community and offer an array of services needed to promote and support independence, safety and well being. Each PACES member is committed to delivering the highest quality of service, treating all clients with dignity and respect, and providing personal care with compassion. Our members cater to clients’ different lifestyles and are proud to offer services that provide a variety of options that help people live well as they age. In addition to our members’ services, the businesses in PACES have made a commitment to support community agencies that also serve the aging population in Greater Portland through a community affiliate program. We are proud to announce the Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter as our major affiliate partner. The Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter, www.alz.org/maine , is the leading organization supporting those suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease through educational programs, care consultation services, and support group facilitation.
PACES members have also collaborated to produce a series of educational seminars that focus on topics of interest for seniors and their families and are offered free of charge. The dates, times and locations of these informative sessions are found in the events calendar of the PACES Website.
Our Mission
The mission of the PACES organization is to support its members in providing access to high quality goods and services for the growing population of seniors and their families in the greater Portland area through an active referral network. We also pledge to support community based agencies that serve the elderly through active participation in these agencies as board members, volunteers and financial supporters.
