While most people may know what estate planning, elder law and probate and trust administration involve, few know what life care planning is all about.   Life care planning is a holistic approach to legal care that is focused on supporting clients with their legal, financial (ex. Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance, etc.)  and care coordination needs that generally arise late in life, or when the client faces a disability or sudden illness.   To help carry out our life care plans we have two social workers on staff, who provide support and care coordination for our clients.   The goal of life care planning is to help clients avoid foreseeable crises, preserve assets where possible, to help clients get good care and help them pay for that care, and to maintain quality of life by being proactive rather than reactive.
