Crown of Maine

Aroostook County is Maine’s northernmost county and is known as the “Crown of Maine”. It’s also the largest county east of the Mississippi River and is larger than Rhode Island and Connecticut combined.
Aroostook County is divided into four regions: North Maine Woods, St. John Valley, Central Aroostook, and Southern Aroostook.
