“Planning Ahead for Long Term Care”

Let’s face it – most of us will be affected by long term care at some point, either when we need help ourselves, or when we provide care for a loved one. Have you thought about how this might affect your family or your finances? Imagine what would happen if you suddenly had to spend $5,000 to $10,000 per month for long term care services. What’s your plan?

Did you know that most long term care takes place outside of nursing homes? Far more people receive care at home, in adult day care, and assisted living facilities than in nursing homes. But, the key to staying in control is having a plan.

Planning ahead will help keep you in control. It will help you maintain your independence, stay in your own home longer, and reduce the burden on your family. But you need to start planning for this now, while you’re as young and healthy as you’re ever going to be.

The first step is to understand the risk, and the planning options available to you. Our workshop will provide you with a basic introduction to this topic, and answers to your questions about long term care planning.
