The Seacoast Successful Aging Expo comes to Kittery Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019. Older people and their families will have free access to 30+ sources of senior information on October 16 from 9 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Kittery Community Center, 120 Rogers Rd., Kittery, during the Seacoast Successful Aging Expo.

The Expo, hosted by Maine Senior Guide, will feature 30+ exhibitors including senior living communities, home care and home health options, insurance solutions and estate planning. Speakers share important information, and Walgreens will be providing flu shots. The expo is free, with plenty of free parking. Attendees can enjoy free coffee and donuts, and get their flu shots from Walgreens from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

  • 10 a.m. Assistive Technology for Independence at Home with Maine CITE Program Director Kathy Adams
  • 11 a.m. Amy Anderson of Salvation Army with a talk titled “I’d Rather Have a Root Canal Than Talk About My Will”
  • 12 noon with Shawn Shambo of Assisted Living Locators, talking about finding and paying for care. Light lunch included.
  • 1 p.m. Jeff Harder from Blue Goose LLC with Medicare 101, a primer on what’s included with Medicare and what your different options are as we enter open enrollment Oct. 14 – Dec. 7.

The Southern Maine Agency on Aging will be holding all-day balance clinics. Attendees can place their name in the drawing for door prizes, including two tickets on the Down Easter and a $50 Hannaford gift card. Dan Buck of Daniel Buck Antiques & Auctions, and a former Antiques Road Show appraiser, will be offering antique appraisals.

The expo is sponsored and hosted by Maine Senior Guide. Expo admission is free and there is plenty of free parking. There is no registration required.
