Our fall senior expo is planned for October 11, 2016 in Freeport. Are you ready to hear some great speakers, get a free flu shot, have an antique appraised and gather lots of senior-related information? The fall senior expo will be a very informative and fun day! mark your calendar for the fall senior expo October 11 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport. Ample parking, free admission and no registration!
Representatives from senior communities, home health companies, estate management, rehabilitation and many more will showcase their services and be available for questions all day. Open enrollment for Medicare begins November 1, and you’ll find several companies offering information on Medicare plans. Thinking about finding in-home care? Want to see new devices that help folks with hearing loss? Concerned about how you’ll be remembered and what sort of legacy you’ll leave? There will be lots of information available. On October 11, 2016 you’ll be able to visit and talk with 36 vendors from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Fall Senior Expo: What’s Happening:
- CHANS will offer free flu shots from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- Speakers will be talking in the Speaker’s Gallery right outside the expo hall. Talks start at 10 a.m., and include new joint options, the changes to anticipate in retirement, downsizing and dealing with clutter, and other topics.
- Afternoon demo of Zumba Gold with certified instructor Shari Chaney and friends
- For a $5 donation, you can get an antique appraised by Stan Lourie
